Who we are looking for: ASCO’s Digital Innovation Department is seeking an Enterprise Business Intelligence Intern ready to apply their knowledge and skillset to gain meaningful experience analyzing, transforming, and preparing data to generate actional insights driving better decision making. Apply now and join our team!Internship activities include: * Manage and drive carefully selected Business Intelligence project(s) that are intended to bring immediate business value * Using business objectives, the intern will define/design a Business Intelligence solution, work with data engineering on data acquisition/transformation, and develop interactive dashboards using tools and technology to provide data/insights * Partner with business stakeholders and development teams within an agile environment to deliver meaningful Business Intelligence solutions and visualizations * Develop presentations of outcomes and accomplishments showing the value they bring Required qualifications: * Currently enrolled in an undergraduate BA/BS degree program, or graduate program, or recently graduated from a 4-year degree program, preferably in Data or Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field of study. Candidates must be at least a junior or entering their junior year of college at the start of the internship. * Technical background relative to data analytics concepts including academic exposure to statistics; and working with data sets to create stories * Basic Experience with programming languages such as SQL/Python and visualization software such as PowerBI, Tableau, or AWS QuickSight * Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (365 preferred) * Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences and a willingness to collaborate with business partners * Professionalism * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to adapt to changing needs * Solid organizational and time management skills and impeccable attention to detail * Excellent customer service skills and professionalism * Willingness to enhance skills Duration: 10 weeks during the summer – June 10, 2024, to August 16, 2024. This internship is 37.5 hours per week.   Compensation: This summer internship position is paid. Additionally, ASCO will provide parking or a metro subsidy to the successful candidate.  Location: This internship is based in Alexandria, VA and will require working onsite. Candidates should reside in the D.C. metro area or be able to relocate at their own expense.
