JOB DESCRIPTION This is an exciting opportunity for an internship in Washington, DC. with the dynamic, creative team at Throughline, a premier visual information design firm. Magazine's 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies.  IDEAL CANDIDATE You are currently an undergraduate/graduate student and interested in joining us for a Fall 2023 Internship. You are a savvy go-getter with experience and further interests in business administration, communications, content strategy, graphic design, information design, marketing, or technology. You have a related major, as well as a demonstrated history of initiative and achievement. You are organized, enthusiastic, smart, and personable. You actively demonstrate an eagerness to learn. You are a self starter adept at taking direction and working semi-autonomously in a hybrid work environment. (The Throughline team is currently operating as a predominantly remote company as part of our Remote Smart guidance to provide a safe working environment during COVID-19 Pandemic; however, our Studios are currently open and there is the option to work in our headquarters design studio, located in Washington, DC.) KEY FUNCTIONS We are looking for interns to help with communications support, research, and special projects. There will be administrative and creative support across departments. Duties will vary widely and grow with the specific talents and interests of the intern selected. Interested candidates should submit a resume and a brief cover letter displaying how they meet the following requirements: * A creative/entrepreneurial spirit * Strong work ethic, exemplary communication skills, and good decision-making skills * Ability to work well under pressure, while putting forward quality work and meeting deadlines * Interest in cutting-edge, creative work, for commercial and federal government clients * Demonstrated proficiency Microsoft Office suite; PowerPoint and Excel a must, experience with Adobe suite a plus * A self-starter, able to take direction, run with a task, ask good questions, and enhance a project * Ability to work remotely (proper set up to take calls and meetings, technology, internet, etc.) We are seeking multifaceted, talented, intellectually curious interns who bring a strong sense of determination to projects. We encourage all members of our team to contribute to the culture of our company and the evolution of our work from their perspectives and experience. Many of our brightest interns have been brought on with career intentions within our company. We aim to make the internship experience valuable to everyone involved: interns, sponsors/mentors, peers, and the company at large. There will be an internship project agreed upon between the sponsor and intern based on their area of interest and company needs.
