Job Description
Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest gun violence prevention advocacygroup, is seeking an Intern for the summer to join and support the office of theExecutive Director of Moms Demand Action. The Office of the Executive Directoris responsible for all administrative duties that support the principal,including managing the principal’s schedule, coordinating travel, buildingexternal relationships, and staffing the principal at events. In this role, theIntern will report to the senior executive assistant and assist inadministrative duties to support the principal. Interns are expected to work nomore than 20 hours per week and will be based from our DC office.Responsibilities: * Assist with creating digital and social content for principal’s social media accounts * Assist in internal and external meeting logistics, including collecting meeting material information * Assist in day-to-day tasks for the principal * Research travel options for principal and team * Assist in managing and tracking internal and external correspondence * Assist the team in routine research administrative tasks, as and when required * Interact regularly with Everytown staff across all departments to ensure effective coordination and delivery of research program activities * Assist with other interdepartmental special projects as needed Note: This is an on-site position in our Washington, DC Office.The minimum pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour. Qualifications: * Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student * Lives or is able to relocate to Washington, DC for the summer * Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality * Exceptional attention to detail * Willingness to take initiative on projects * A self-starter who is willing to take initiative on projects * Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment * Excellent judgment and communication skills * Experience and proficiency using Google Suite products like Google Sheets, GoogleDocs, and Google Calendar.
