Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest gun violence prevention advocacygroup, is seeking a Political Intern. Everytown’s political department supportsthe work of the organization through the successful engagement of elections,including candidate programming, independent expenditure (IE) work, electoralpartner coordination, and voter research. Our goal for you is to learn about howEverytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action work toward our ultimate goal ofending gun violence. Interns are expected to work no more than twenty-five (25)hours per week. Primary Responsibilities: * Assist in the daily operations of Everytown for Gun Safety’s political team * Track and monitor 2024 down ballot, statewide, and federal elections across the nation * Assist with planning and implementation of 2024 programming, including the Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate program and engagement of 2024 elections * Collect and identify relevant political and electoral research on 2024 electoral candidates and campaigns * Maintain databases and input information, data, and records related to Everytown’s political programs * Special projects for the political department, as neededQualifications: * Excellent research and writing skills * Exceptional ability to communicate succinctly * Humor, entrepreneurialism, and an openness to evolving responsibilities * Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentNote: This is an on-site position based either from Washington, DC Office or NewYork City Office.The minimum pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
