Digital Department Internship The American Battlefield Trust (ABT), the nation’s
premier battlefield land preservation organization, offers paid part-time
internships to students interested in history and conservation. Interns will be
part-time and expected to work 15 hours per week. This internship can be
completed either on-site at our Washington, D.C. office, fully remote, or a
hybrid of the two. Internships are initially slated for 3-4 months, but
successful candidates may be able to arrange for varied tenures. While we strive
to accommodate the schedules of qualified candidates, the selection process is
competitive, and organizational staffing needs are consideration criteria.
Digital Department Intern responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited
to, the following: • Writing and editing social copy for ABT’s social platforms
• Creating digital assets for our social platforms and our website • Researching
social media trends and brainstorming ways to integrate them into our social
media strategy with our social media manager • Supporting the digital team with
simple administrative tasks Qualified candidates will be/have: • A commitment to
the mission of the American Battlefield Trust and a genuine interest in history
and preservation • Enrolled in a college-level history, social science, or
related field • Self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals with superior
written, verbal and organizational skills • Excellent computer skills with
experience using Microsoft Office • The ability to work independently and with
coworkers on collaborative projects • The ability to work well under pressure
