American Battlefield Trust

The American Battlefield Trust is dedicated to preserving our nation's historic battlefields and educating the public about their significance. They focus on the American Revolution, the War of 1812, and the Civil War, ensuring that these hallowed grounds are protected for future generations. One of their initiatives is the Youth Leadership Team (YLT), which consists of 10 young individuals aged 15-18. The YLT serves as the youth face and voice of the American Battlefield Trust, participating in political activities, creating projects in their local communities, and attending the Annual Conference.

Thanks to the support of the Pipkin Charitable Foundation, this program has already impacted the lives of 25 students. In addition, the Trust offers the Great Task Youth Leadership Program, inspired by President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. This program focuses on teaching participants about the actions, decisions, leadership, and other qualities demonstrated by individuals during the Battle of Gettysburg.
